Will using FareChecked affect my account with a fare platform?

FareChecked is designed as a decision-support tool. It does not automatically accept or reject fares, and it does not interact with fare platform accounts or servers on your behalf. However, every driver should review the terms of any platform they use. FareChecked cannot guarantee how any specific platform interprets the use of companion apps.

What permissions does FareChecked require?

FareChecked requires Accessibility Service permission (to read fare card content from the screen) and Overlay permission (to display the floating results overlay above other apps). These are standard Android permissions. You will be guided through enabling them during setup.

Which fare platforms does FareChecked support?

FareChecked is designed for drivers using supported fare platforms. Compatibility may vary and is subject to change as platforms update their apps. Check the app for the current list of supported fare card layouts.

How is my fare information handled?

FareChecked includes privacy controls and clear processing options inside the app. Processing may be on-device or involve external services, depending on your chosen settings. The Privacy Policy explains in full how information is used and stored.

Does FareChecked drain my battery?

FareChecked is designed to run efficiently. It only activates when a fare card appears on screen — it does not run a continuous background process between fares, which keeps battery impact low.

Does FareChecked need an internet connection?

This depends on your processing settings inside the app. Some processing options work entirely on-device and do not require internet access. Other settings may use external services. You can configure your preference in the app.

What currencies are supported?

FareChecked supports GBP, USD, EUR, CAD, AUD and NZD. You can set your preferred currency in the app settings.

Is FareChecked available on iOS?

FareChecked is currently available for Android only. There are no current plans for an iOS version.

How do I set my earnings targets?

Inside the app, you can set your minimum revenue per mile and revenue per hour. FareChecked uses these targets to colour-code the results — green if the fare meets your target, amber if it's borderline, and red if it falls short.
